Workshops and Educational Visits

Fancy a pottery party or one to one tuition on ceramics? Im here to help. 

I am a fully qualified teacher of art, craft and design. Alongside my own pottery, I also work in a secondary school. 

For the past two years, I have taken my pottery workshops into primary schools and taught the skills needed in creating beautiful pieces of pottery. 

I also host adult educational workshops. Over a few days, we create a variety of different clay goodies. We chat, eat biscuits and drink tea, along with making pots of corse! 

Mobile workshops:

You provide the venue, I provide the rest! My mobile pottery workshops are perfect for hen parties, birthdays or just because you fancy trying something different with your friends. My mobile workshops are a minimum of 2 hours long. I provide all the materials needed and take your pieces away with me to be fired. They are returned, fired and glazed at a later date.

Prices will vary depending on what you want to make and the length of time/ number of days.

Prices are calculated per person and start at £35pp. Fuel costs may also be added. Email kim.hodgson@hotmail.com for a quote. Please state what you would like to make, how many people and your location. 

Children's Birthday Parties:

Birthday parties for children under 12 are £20pp with a £20 deposit to secure your date. A maximum capacity of 12 children can attend a party at KAH Ceramics in atlas works and a minimum of 5 children. 
Parties are 2 hours long, making an item of your choice (monsters, animals, mugs and wall plaques are a usual fave!) All materials including 2 firings are included in the price. Food is NOT included but can be brought in by the party organiser. 

Adult pottery parties at KAH: 

Hen party? Birthday party? Or just a fun activity to do with friends, why not play with clay?! 
For any group event, prices start at £30pp for a 2 hour session with all materials included. A maximum capacity of 12 people can attend at any one time with a minimum of 3. A £35 deposit will secure your chosen date.

Educational workshop prices:

For schools, fees are charged on a half day and full day rate. 

Half day: £300

Full day:£600 

All materials and firings are included.
